HOW TO SWAP YOUR DRIVING TEST

If you already have a driving test booked, you may be able to swap your appointment with another learner who wants your slot (within our school)

Swap Requirements

• You can only swap your own driving test

• Both learners must agree to the exact:

  • Test date

  • Time

  • Test centre

• Both bookings must be for the same type of test

• The swap must be requested at least 10 working days before the earliest test date

• Both learners must still have at least 1 test change remaining

• Please check your instructor is available before confirming the new date

Location Rules

You can only swap with a learner booked at:

• The same test centre

• One of the 3 nearest test centres

• Or the test centre originally booked

These rules apply to both learners.

How the Swap Process Works

1. One learner contacts DVSA to request the swap

2. DVSA contacts the other learner using the phone number on the booking

3. Both learners confirm they agree to the exchange

4. DVSA processes and confirms the swap

Before Calling DVSA

Please have ready:

• Your driving licence number

• Your test booking reference

• The other learner’s booking reference

⚠️ Never share personal payment details with another learner.

Important Information

• Both learners must be available during the DVSA call

• The swap cannot proceed if either learner:

  • Fails security checks

  • Does not agree

  • Has no test changes remaining

• If one learner does not answer the phone, the swap will not go ahead

After the Swap

• Each learner will receive the other person’s original test slot

• Booking references and payment details remain unchanged

• Updated booking details will appear in your DVSA confirmation/reminder emails
